The irises started blooming this week. In between rain showers I had a chance to capture this photo of my "Cat's Eye" dwarf iris (purchased from Schreiner's Iris). I grow a number of different fragrant irises and am always tempted to add new ones to the garden.
With all of the different colors of irises available it can sometimes be hard for me to stick to growing only the scented varieties. Then the blooms start and the delicate scent floats on the breeze to every corner of the garden and I am convinced that I am making the right decision.
