Returning readers may remember my previous comments on this book.
It is my favorite book for learning about plant families and it also happens to be my favorite book to learn about plant anatomy.
Botany in a Day, by Thomas J. Elpel, starts with a good general diagram of all of the important plant parts - and I do mean "starts". The diagram is on the inside front cover! As the book progresses you can read about all kinds of garden plant and wild flower plant families and see all of the details of how their flower anatomy is structured. And don't be surprised to see me recommend this book a few more times as the bloom season goes on. My copy is getting very well worn for a reason!
